The program of our 3 days Marrakech to Dades and Merzouga desert:

DAY 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Dades Gorges:

The morning of your desert journey begins in the direction of Merzouga desert. Thereafter, we continue to drive across the High Atlas Mountains, we will pass by a few Kasbahs, or Atlas Berber settlements. Besides, we will arrive at the well-known World Heritage site Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou after a few hours of exploring the Atlas Mountains. In addition, a delicious lunch will be provided for you close to the Kasbah before we continue driving to Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa). After that, visit the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate, where a number of films, including Game of Thrones and others, were filmed. Then, we’ll travel in the direction of Skoura and Roses Valley. We’ll travel to Dades Valley to spend the night at the conclusion of the day.

DAY 2: Dades gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga desert:

After a typical Moroccan breakfast, we continue our three-day trek to Merzouga in the desert. At the Dades, we will next drive along roads dotted with historic kasbahs and other charming Berber settlements. Then, we’ll go 15 kilometers to Tineghir, a breathtaking valley dotted with date palms. Thereafter, we continue our hike down the 300-meter-high valleys, take in the tall walls of grey and pink granite that surround the road. After lunch in Tinjdad, we’ll continue on to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, the Sahara Desert.

As soon as you reach the well-known Erg Chebbi dunes, We will allow you to have a leisurely 1.5-hour camel ride to the oasis where a camp is located while you enjoy the sunset. Spending the night in a bivouac at Merzouga Sahara dunes under authentic nomadic tents or outside under the stars is the most interesting thing you can do. If you’d like, you can also spend the evening playing drums with the knowledgeable camel guide.

Day 3: Merzouga desert – Agdez – Marrakech:

On the final day of your 3 days Marrakech to Dades and Merzouga desert, we’ll pick you up early and transport you somewhere nearby so you can see the magnificent sunrise over the sand dunes. Then, you’ll ride a camel to the main road after eating breakfast. You will find your driver waiting at the main road with a cozy minibus to take you back to Ouarzazate via the village of Rissani, the seat of the Alaouite dynasty, and the Tazarine oasis. After that, we will continue our trip back to Marrakech over the High Atlas Mountains after you have some free time and lunch. We’ll return to Marrakech that evening.
